Larry Olson -  Singer/songwriter/guitarist Larry Olson grew up on a farm near Madison, MN.  He attended South Dakota State University and graduated with a teaching degree in Vocational Agriculture in 1985. While at SDSU, Larry began crafting and performing original songs and in 1988 he co-founded Dakota Road Music, a publishing and performance company that specializes in original music. Since then Larry has recorded numerous CDs and written and published hundreds of songs that have been passed to the corners of the U.S. and beyond. Larry's songs come alive with stories of his rural roots, ponderings of parenthood, stirrings from our global family and journeys of faith. 

Dakota Road has become known nationally for their stirring original music and playful performance style. They craft powerful stories of life and faith woven in colorful musical styles ranging from acoustic ballads to rocking anthems. Their songs of faith and love, hurts and hopes are shaped by a passion for justice and a vision for the church, the neighborhood and the whole world to be peace-filled welcoming places. Their songs touch people of all ages and walks of life.  Individually and as a band Dakota Road has released over 20 recordings with many of their songs being sung all across the U.S. & beyond.  The band members are Hans Peterson, Larry Olson, Karol Baer, Christel Brosi, Scott Jibben and Al Berven.

Hans & Larry have the creative talents of music leadership, a passion for justice and a vision for the church, the neighborhood and the whole world to be peace-filled welcoming places.  They live in the confidence that "to each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good" (I Cor 12:7). Hans Peterson  -Born and raised in Alaska, Hans came to the Midwest to attend Luther College. Since graduation he has worked as a youth director/worship leader, lived with homeless men in a Catholic Worker House, been a full-time musician for 25 years, and earned two different degrees from United and Luther Seminary. Hans is currently a pastor at River of Hope Lutheran church in Hutchinson, MN. As a songleader/songwriter he continues to venture out solo and with the Dakota Road band, playing piano and acoustic guitar. Home is Belle Plaine township where he lives with his spouse, Heidi, on her family's farm. Their two boys have recently made them empty nesters. If not connecting with people over a cup of coffee or writing a sermon, he might be found hiking, pressing apple cider, playing pickleball, or making wood fired pizzas. In all that he does, Hans prays and works for a world where all creation is seen as sacred.
